Thomas Hillier House

Thomas Hillier House

116 SOUTH OAK STREET
FALLS CHURCH, VA 22046

The Thomas Hillier house, built in 1893, was saved from a developer’s wrecking ball by Thoughtful Development. The original Queen Ann Victorian structure had been “modernized” over the years with a series of insensitive remodeling projects. Most of the original trim features luckily remained intact and were saved. Asbestos siding was removed exposing all the original bead board and shingle detailing which was restored. The interior of the house was carefully updated with new kitchen and baths in a style appropriate to the era of the house.
